Kendra turns 16!!

Kendra turned 16 on June 22nd. I usually let the kids choose what they want for a "birthday cake" and Kendra chose pudding dessert instead. It's one of her favorites. It was nice having Megan, Taylor and Scott here to celebrate it with her. This was on her birthday which was after her surprise birthday party!
Could you tell that she was excited for her new pants!
Thumbs up before opening presents!
Megan has always been a good friend to Kendra! They have a lot of fun together.
When each of my kids turn 16, I give them a surprise birthday party. I surprised Ryan at Chico's pizza with his friends and family waiting. I surprised Kellie at Inca's and then again at home, where more of her friends were waiting. I surprised Stephanie at her dance studio and Scott, I surprised at our house. With each 16th birthday coming, each kid, after Ryan kind of
expect the party, but I have been able to throw them off by having it a little early before their birthday or by where it was held. Kendra kept trying to figure out when hers was going to be. I was able to , with her friend's help, surprise her on the day, but when she arrived at home, no one was watching for her, so when she walked into the house, she kind of figured it out when she heard me telling everyone, "Shh, she is here!" Wish we would of been watching for her to come. Her friends was trying to throw her off, but Corbin didn't catch on. Oh well, she got her surprise party and alot of friends and food were there. Happy sweet 16 birthday, Kendra!!
Eating on the swing set with Breanna and Megan.
Taylor hanging out with her buddy, Lilly!
Girls waiting in the house for Kendra to arrive. Too bad I didn't have one fo them watch for her!
That is about where we were all standing when Kendra walked in. It kind of looks pretty obvious that we are waiting for someone! Scott, I should of had you watching, huh!

For their surprise parties, I usually take alot of their pictures when they were younger and make into posters so their friends and family can enjoy Kendra young and older. It's always fun to look back on the "good old days." Time does go by way too fast!! When we first moved to Moses Lake, Kendra was just going into Kindergarten. Now she is going to be a Junior in High School!!
Happy birthday, Kendra! We love you!
A cute bunch of friends staying warm and watching the volleyball game in the backyard.
It has been nice to have a big backyard to set up and play volleyball and about anything else you want to play.

Corbin, the master chef cooking away for the crew! He makes a good salmon and hamburgers!!
