4th of July in Las Vegas!

After Kendra's dance competition in Las Vegas, we stayed for a few days over the 4th of July. The girls had never been to Vegas, so we decided to show them around. Corbin and I had been there a few times. We had alot of fun. It was too hot to go out much during the day, and still pretty hot in the evening, but we made the most of it. We stayed at a place called Desert Rose, just half a block off the strip not far from New York New York. We walked alot which Taylor was not too fond of, but with all of our walking around we ran into this guy here named something Jackson, who is a competitor extreme fighter, I think. Anyway, he was in town for a fight the next evening and we ran into him in the lobby of the Mirage. He asked Taylor if she could howl, because I guess that it his trademark and boy did she ever howl for him. He was quite impressed. Well, after the howling we were able to get his picture. He did end up losing the next night.
Corbin and I over looking the strip from New York New York. It was the 4th of July and everyone was waiting around for the fireworks, but there were no fireworks to be seen. You think that they would have some impressive ones in Vegas, but no. Oh well, we had a great time anyway. We don't gamble, but the shows and food are great!
Kendra and Taylor at one of my favorite things to eat, M&M's and the M&M store! Any color or flavor you ever wanted was there! Much cheaper to buy them at WalMart, though!
Kendra was bound and determined to find the sign that says "Welcome to Las Vegas" like she has seen in all of those movies. One morning when Corbin went on a run, he found it, so we drove them there for this picture. Now our trip was complete!!
Corbin was a great husband and dad and got Kendra and I tickets to go and see Phantom of the Opera at the theater that was just made for it here in Vegas. It was awesome! Thanks hon! While we were there, Corbin took Taylor to Circus, Circus. After Phantom, Taylor decided that she wasn't too scared to see Phantom anymore and now wanted to see it, even though she did have fun with her Dad at Circus, Circus. Maybe next time, Taylor. She is such a character!
Love this picture of Kendra!
The girls!
We ate one evening at King Arthur's Court and the roundtable. You eat while a program is going on. It's lots of fun and the food is not so bad, either. Our table was suppose to rout for the bad dragon. Taylor said that it was okay to do this, just this once!
